Whole Family Therapy

Have you ever felt stuck and tried to fix a family problem on your own? Sometimes, it truly takes more than one person to solve a problem and work out challenges–that is why whole family therapy can be more effective for treating a wide range of problems, from communication difficulties to mental health concerns. Similar to how a car needs each part to work well in order to run smoothly, a family needs each of its members to work together to improve cohesiveness, strengthen bonds, and navigate challenges.

When meeting together as a whole family, the therapist works with all family members to broaden each family member’s understanding of the problems and build a working, unified understanding of the problems. The therapist works with the family as a whole to bring a voice to the unheard, realign ineffective dynamics, and help them discover a new, working normal for the family.
